SHIPPING POLICY We are dedicated to providing you with the best shipping rates available! We will ship to the 48 contiguous United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). Shipping is calculated to be both economical and timely, and we will always strive to provide you with the best price possible. All orders for Stock Merchandise received by 1:00 pm E.S.T. Monday-Fridays should be scheduled for shipping within 24 hours during normal business hours, often shipping the same day when possible. Next day, 2nd day, and 3-day service do not include Saturday or Sunday delivery. If Saturday delivery is required, please specify. For fraud protection, we will not ship any packages to locations other than that of the credit card holder. This is for the protection of the card holder and People's Building Supply Company. OVERWEIGHT ORDERS: Orders that exceed 150 pounds cannot be shipped as one unit. These orders will be shipped using the most economical and practical method available. Many overweight shipments are shipped via common carrier. However, if the order can be split into multiple boxes and shipped less expensively, we will do so in order to help you save on shipping costs. Upon receipt of your request for a shipping quote we will contact you via email with options and costs. If a single item is over 150 lbs, such as with some generators, the item will be marked COMMON CARRIER DELIVERY. TYPES OF COMMON CARRIER DELIVERY: BASIC COMMON CARRIER DELIVERY - This is commonly used when a loading dock is available and means that the driver will bring your order to the end of truck (tailgate) only. You are responsible for using a forklift or pallet jack to remove the contents from the truck.
LIFT GATE SERVICE - This service means that the driver will place your order on the lift gate and simply lower it to the ground. You are responsible for removing the order from the lift gate. Common Carrier deliveries will be quoted as BASIC unless LIFT GATE SERVICE is requested. OTHER POLICIES: If items must be backordered, you will be notified via email and you will have the choice to wait for the backordered merchandise to arrive, or cancel your order. If you request partial shipment of an order with backordered merchandise to ship at a later time, you are responsible for shipping charges on both shipments.
Sales Tax is only charged for merchandise shipped to destinations inside Pennsylvania. Please note that any missing items or any damage must be recorded on the bill of lading. You must retain a copy and notify us immediately at 610-759-3710.
